CM Punk signing with the AEW looks imminent

As the days go by, CM Punk signing with the All-Elite Wrestling (AEW) seem to keep getting closer and closer.

The former WWE Champion and, mixed martial artist who hasn’t wrestled in over 7 years, might be heading to WWE’s rival promotion, which has grown monumentally over the past few years.

A couple of days ago Punk posted a story on Instagram which had an audio clip of Sirius by Alan Parsons Project. The song was used by the NBA team Chicago Bulls in the 90s.

Booker T shares his thoughts on CM Punk signing with AEW

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T weighed in on Punk signing for AEW. While King Booker didn’t doubt Punk’s skills, he did say that it would be a whole different ball game when one is past their 40s, irrespective of being in shape.

Booker T said, while speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast:

“My thing is this, out of sight, out of mind. CM Punk has been out of the game for a minute…..I’m not hating or anything like that, but my thing is this. Even as great a physique as I have right now at 56, when I got into my 40s, mid-40s, even though I looked good, I had a phobia about taking my shirt off in the locker room with the young guys. I had a subconscious thing that I was working with there and thinking maybe my time has passed me by, maybe it’s time for me to start doing something else, as well as, man, am I losing a step. I started questioning myself when I got to a certain age. That’s where I’m coming from with the CM Punk thing. Can he go out there and still do it? Yes, but has the game changed tremendously in the last seven years? Yes, I think so.” [via Rajah.com]
