CM Punk hasn’t been in a wrestling ring for a long time

Former WWE star CM Punk was speaking during an exclusive clip from Best in the World shared by Inside The Ropes and highlighted a couple of funny stories.

The former WWE star hasn’t wrestled for years but is regarded as one of the greatest to have gotten into the ring.

Punk is back with WWE in another capacity though. He is working with Fox on WWE Backstage and has shared his thoughts on many angles within the industry.

Seeing him back in action won’t come soon, but Punk spoke about some of the big stars that he probably couldn’t hang out with.

Punk named some stars from outside WWE and could not believe what they were doing:

“I know who Will Ospreay is. I’ve seen you know the clips on Twitter of him doing s*** and I just go ‘Jesus Christ. Wow. I’d be able to do something with that I can’t do that.”

Omega is another top star

The former WWE star also said it was up to others to get some of the older guys to work with them, like he had approached Stone Cold Steve Austin to do a bit years back.

Punk spoke highly of Marty Scrull and also named one AEW star that he found impressive:

“I look at guys like Kenny Omega and I know he’s like the big match you know guy now and I just I kind of look at him and I’m just like I don’t even know if I’d be able to keep up with these people now.”

Kenny Omega (L) and Cody Rhodes (C) are two of the top draws on AEW

However, Punk did add that he trains a lot and overdoes it a lot, so maybe, he could match what the best are doing.

Omega has been impressive for years and is one of the top stars on AEW. He was recently involved in a hilarious street fight with Matt Hardy as the pair took on Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho.
