CM Punk is now on All Elite (AEW)
CM Punk shared why he was upset with Orange Cassidy after an issue with a sea bass
AEW Rampage saw CM Punk coming back to professional Wrestling in the most electrifying fashion. Punk has told the AEW Universe that he wants to compete against the young talent in the AEW industry and wants to elevate them at higher levels.
Recently he spoke to Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette (h/t ringside news). punk mentioned his run-in AEW and mainly talked about star Orange Cassidy, and apparently, Cassidy ate Punk’s sea bass at the dinner last night.
But Punk also saw a resemblance of him on Cassidy and was quoted as saying:
“I think, too often, there’s, ‘I don’t get it, get it off TV’ and I’m like, I don’t get it. I’ve used Orange Cassidy, who I think ate my sea bass at dinner the other night. So, there’s real heat there. But that’s a thing I look at, and I go, ‘I don’t get it,’ but I listen to the people. And they react to him, and they like him. So, I’m like, f%%k yeah! Why would we throw that in the garbage? And it just reminds me of when I showed up there, and those same people were like, ‘I don’t get it.’ And I’ll be like, ‘Well, you’re 65, and you’re racist. So, I guess I’m super stoked that I’m not for you, and you don’t get it. It’s not for me to get. It’s for the audience to get, you know?”
Cassidy is one of the weirdest characters in Wrestling since he doesn’t talk much, and he doesn’t try to sell any moves.
Maybe this is the reason that he became such a fan-favorite organically. With Punk wanting to face new talents, Cassidy can be in the eyes of CM Punk, and we might see them going head to head against each other in the squared circle, and it will be an exciting match-up for the fans to witness.
