CM Punk is open to seeing his wife, AJ Lee, make a return to professional wrestling
CM Punk sensationally returned to professional wrestling this past month after seven long years of being inactive. Punk made his return under the AEW promotion.
Since he has returned fans have been filled up with a million questions. While speaking on WFAN’s Moose and Maggie he was asked about his wife AJ Lee return and this is what he had to say (h/t Wrestling Inc):
“I would love to see it,I get asked that question every single time I do an interview and I love it. I absolutely love it. Don’t think she wants to do it, because she’s a teeny tiny person and she has a bad neck. I think she would probably, maybe be receptive to the idea of coming back, but that can’t even enter her vocabulary right now. She’s so focused on the movie scripts and TV adaptation of a book she’s working on.”
Lee is one of the most famous retired wrestlers. She made her debut on SmackDown In 2011. Fast forward four years later she decided to call it quits and parted ways with the company. During this time she became the Diva’s Champion multiple times. She was a fan favourite as fans loved to see chemistry with different WWE Superstars.
AJ Lee is married to CM Punk since 2014. Punk made a return to professional wrestling recently, on the other hand Lee has no plans to do so. She is now an author and is caught up writing for screen plays and TV.
