Cody Rhodes had some glowing words for rival Brodie Lee ahead of their match
Cody Rhodes faces a tough task as he defends his TNT title on Saturday against Brodie Lee.
The leader of the Dark Order has been impressive since joining AEW and was unlucky not to win the AEW title from Jon Moxley.
Lee has now set his sights on Cody’s TNT title and will challenge him in the open challenge. Cody decided to speak about this match ahead of Dynamite and claimed they were both better than in the past.
The American Dream also compared Lee to wrestling legend Bam Bam Bigelow as he brought out the similarities in their agility and power.
He’s a stellar athlete. Got that Bam Bam’ like combination of agility and power.
It’s been a long time since I shared a ring with him, we are both much better and more rounded competetitors now.#DoTheWork and win. https://t.co/kpdTJCVc3Q

Big shoes to fill for Lee
Lee was part of the Wyatt Family and won the tag titles on several occasions. He was also an Intercontinental Champion but he wasn’t used well by WWE during his time with the promotion.
He was one of the stars who was released by WWE in 2019 and after his no-compete clause was done, he joined AEW.
Bigelow was one of the best big men in the business and won several titles across promotions. While he didn’t spend a lot of time in WWE, he was a gifted athlete despite his large frame and size.
Bigelow had some exceptional moves in his arsenal too, and this was a huge comparison for Cody to make.
Lee does have a large frame, similar to Bigelow, but he doesn’t weight as much as the former WWE star. It will be interesting to see what is next for Lee but a title win cannot be ruled out.
Cody has done a fantastic job of keeping hold of the TNT title since becoming the first winner. However, this could be his biggest test since winning this title.
