Cody Rhodes shocked everyone by deactivating his Twitter account
All Elite Wrestling star Cody Rhodes has quit Twitter and deactivated his account. The AEW star and former TNT Champion deactivated his Twitter account on Monday.
The AEW wrestler, who previously worked for WWE before leaving in 2016 has deactivated his account due to ‘sniping and negativity’.
The @CodyRhodes page on Twitter now says, “This account doesn’t exist. Try searching for another.”
Talking about the same on Busted Open Radio, the wrestler said:
“I don’t even get mad when people – even when they drop ‘WWE reject’ out there, I don’t even get mad.
“Yesterday was my last day on Twitter ’cause of the amount of sniping and negativity on there. I just moved everything over to my Instagram. But I don’t even get mad at it ’cause they had X amount of years, two decades, where that was the only product.”
Fans and Twitter users noticed on Monday, that Cody has left the platform. However, his Instagram account is still there and active.
Cody Rhodes on criticism
Earlier, last month Cody Rhodes stated that he doesn’t understand the online backlash he faces. He explained that he had spent the last few years introducing new talent to AEW and even wrestled a rookie (Darby Allin) at a pay-per-view.
He added that introducing new talent to the world is a part of his job that he loves. Furthermore, Cody applauded Allin and Ricky Starks, two of the many youngsters he helped establish, for their success in Tony Khan’s promotion.

In January 2019, Rhodes was unveiled as an executive vice president of AEW, where he would also serve as a wrestler. During his run in AEW, he was the inaugural AEW TNT Champion, winning the title first in May 2020 and again in October.
