Deonna Purrazzo has been incredible since signing for IMPACT Wrestling and hinted at performing on AEW
Things have been great for Deonna Purrazzo after she was released by WWE and ended up signing for IMPACT Wrestling.
The former NXT star was on the show for two years and despite being touted as a big name for the future, she wasn’t given a lot of TV time.
WWE’s loss was IMPACT’s gain and Purrazzo is the current Women’s Champion in the promotion. Purrazzo has been excellent in the promotion too and won a couple of year end awards too. The 26-year-old picked up the 2020 Wrestler of the Year and Knockout of the Year award but there seems to be more on her list.
AEW and IMPACT seem to have a bit of a link going on as Kenny Omega and Tony Khan appeared on the show previously.
That has piqued the interest of many fans and cross-promotion fights could take place and Purrazzo also tweeted that she wanted to party with AEW star Britt Baker:
It is to be seen what future matches could take place between the promotions and AEW head Cody Rhodes also responded to the tweet.
The American Nightmare didn’t say much but seems interested in this possible move:
This would be a win-win situation for all parties, to be honest. AEW doesn’t have the deepest female roster and Purrazzo would be an incredible presence for Cody’s promotion.
IMPACT, for their part, would get more traction on AEW and Purrazzo is one of the best female wrestlers on the planet.
The AEW-IMPACT partnership certainly is an interesting one and Purrazzo taking on Hikaru Shida could be one of the best matches of the year.
