Cris Cyborg was not happy with the treatment Chris Jericho received on AEW Rampage recently
On the latest episode of AEW Rampage, Inner Circle took on Men of the Year accompanied by former UFC Heavyweight Champ Junior dos Santos who was making his in-ring debut.
Dos Santos had his American Top Team crew with him – Dan Lambert, Jorge Masvidal and Paige VanZant.
The match looked to be going in favour of Inner Circle with Jericho nearly getting things done with ‘Walls of Jericho.’
That was when VanZant distracted the referee, allowing Masvidal to execute his trademark flying knee on Jericho.
Jericho was flattened and pinned, and the Men of The Year – American Top Team earned the win.
Inner Circle were left fuming following their defeat.
Cris Cyborg slams Paige VanZant
Bellator women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg was not happy with the treatment Chris Jericho received.
Condemning Paige VanZant’s actions, Cyborg was willing to offer Inner Circle a helping hand. Taking to Twitter, the former UFC champ wrote:
“Le Champion @IAmJericho you need a Cyborg in the inner Circle! @paigevanzant needs to respect a legend like you! @AEW stop the madness.”
Cyborg has currently been dominating the featherweight division in Bellator, just like she was doing the same in UFC, back in the days.
She has defended her title two times so far, after winning the same at Bellator 238 in January 2020.
