Daniel Garcia to face CM Punk this week on Rampage
During this week’s AEW Dynamite, CM Punk came out to share a few words with the audience. During his segment the superstar went on to challenge Daniel Garcia for a match at this week’s Rampage. Garcia responded to his callout via Twitter and said:
“Ain’t no punk in me. Run it.”
Garcia certainly made it known that he is not afraid of the challenge and is ready to take on Punk. Garcia even went ahead and mocked the former WWE superstar’s name when he said “ain’t no punk in me”. Garcia can prove to be Punk’s biggest challenge in AEW yet and also make him taste defeat for the first time since returning.
Is the match between CM Punk and Daniel Garcia official?
Punk made a challenge to Garcia for a match at this week’s Rampage. Soon after the callout from Punk. AEW president Tony Khan went ahead and made the match official. The match will take place at the October 8th episode of AEW Rampage.
The challenge was issued because Punk was attacked by Garcia and 2point0 and surprisingly Sting and his first opponent in AEW, Darby Allin came to the rescue. Punk wants to settle the score and take on Garcia in a one on one match.
This will also mark is third bout in the AEW and he will look to continue his winning run. Prior to this he defeated Darby Allin and Powerhouse Hobbs to mark a spectacular return to the world of professional wrestling.
