Darby Allin hit Wardlow with a thumbtack skateboard
This week’s AEW Dynamite saw Darby Allin return to the AEW after being absent for a couple of weeks. The Pinnacle were in the ring when the lights went out and a video of Allin was shown on the screen. Later, Sting appeared to attack Wardlow and Shawn Spears their leader MJF, however, managed to escape the ring and saved himself from the attack of Allin and Sting.
Allin then emerged from the crowd dressed as the invisible man. Allin then proceeded to hit Wardlow with his thumbtack skateboard. He later went on and challenged MJF for a match at AEW Full Gear as well.
It is worth noting that Allin was attacked by The Pinnacle during October 6th episode of AEW Dynamite and was absent ever since. The match between Allin and MJF has also been made official by the AEW. This will give Allin to even the score between him and MJF.
How did Shawn Spears react to Wardlow’s injury?
As one would imagine, the thumbtack skateboard did quite a lot of damage to Wardlow’s back. After the incident AEW took to Twitter to share certain pictures of Wardlow’s back to which Spears reacted. Have a look at what he had to say:
“This doesn’t sit well with me… #AEWDynamite”
Spears was certainly not happy with what happened with his fellow The Pinnacle member and made it known to the public about the same. Wardlow suffered nasty welts on his back as a result of those thumbtacks. Although it is not that serious, the injury does look pretty nasty to look at.
