Dustin Rhodes lashes out on Twitter after Bullrope Match
Dustin Rhodes received a lot of criticism for his Bullrope match against Nick Comoroto on the June 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.
He was given a lot of slack after not willing to help Comoroto. Rhodes responded to users criticising him saying:
“He is a better wrestler after being in the ring. That is why your opinion specifically doesn’t matter. Your mom wants you back in the basement. #BasementDweller.” He added, “He did win. He was in a match with me. Everybody that works me becomes better.”
The win for Comoroto would have helped him gain the momentum he needs. Dustin Rhodes has been one of the most pivotal stars in AEW, but has clearly not become a fan favourite. Comoroto, on the other hand is a 9 year veteran, who began at Monster Factory Pro Wrestling. He was also a three-time tag team champion at MFPW. He moved to Ring of Honour, where he cemented his position as one of the top wrestlers in the division.
Fans also wished for Comoroto to win more matches on Dynamite, to build him up towards a title shot.
Dustin Rhodes‘ responded to WWE COO Triple H, who earlier said that WWE has the best women’s wrestlers in the industry:
“Couple days late, let me weigh in. @AEW‘s women’s division has grown passionately because of the team. You are not hands on like I am teaching and coaching them to greatness. You just have money, where I have passion. Passion wins every time. Sincerely, Dustin #HandsNotTied“,
He clarified that WWE has the funds to accomodate the best stars, but lacks the drive and passion to keep going. AEW is a place where he sees more of the determination to make it big.
Triple H earlier spoke about WWE’s women division describing it as a haven for young female athletes to make a name. WWE boasts the likes of Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, Bayley, Nia Jax among other.
