William Regal is All Elite after making his debut for the promotion at Revolution 2022
Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon, now known as Athena, was one of the millions who were shocked seeing William Regal make his AEW debut.
Athena and Regal were both in WWE but were released from the company fairly recently. Regal was released on 5 January 2022, and that came as a shock to many.
The English star spent close to 20 years working with WWE and won several titles during his time with the promotion.
Regal also was the General Manager of NXT, and he did a great job backstage and on the microphone for that brand.
Athena had a couple of words to say about Regal’s debut at AEW Revolution 2022 and posted them on Twitter.
AEW has seen a lot of talents joining them after their contracts with WWE ended, but Regal could have a huge role to play for the company.
Did William Regal create a huge faction in AEW?
Regal came out walking during the Bryan Danielson vs Jon Moxley brawl. The pair put on a show at the PPV, but they kept on fighting even after Moxley beat Danielson.
Regal then slapped the pair and got them to shake their hands. He even pointed to the backstage, and this could be the start of something special between the trio.
Regal is one of the most experienced characters when it comes to the wrestling business. It came as a huge surprise when WWE let him go, but this could have been due to them rebooting NXT into NXT 2.0.
WWE’s loss is AEW’s gain for sure. While some signings from WWE might be questionable, AEW have certainly hit the jackpot with Regal joining them.
