Brodie Lee Jr featured in a brawl with Marko Stunt this week
This week’s AEW Dark featured a segment where Brodie Lee Jr finally met face to face in the ring. We could even call this -1’s first feud (of sorts) in the promotion.
The segment features Brodie Lee Jr rushing inside the ring to cut Marko Stunt’s promo. Stunt pushes Lee Jr, but is shoved back.
AEW CEO Tony Khan, Cody Rhodes, and other personnel had to rush inside the ring to stop the feud from escalating. This was another instalment in a string of efforts that the promotion has undertaken to make Brodie Lee Jr a part of the show.
Brodie Lee, the father of the 8-year-old Brodie Lee Jr, passed away on 26th December at the age of 41 due to a lung issue. Since then, AEW has done a lot to honour the legacy of the Exalted One.
Fans love what AEW did with the Marko Stunt – Brodie Lee Jr segment
For once, AEW aired a special episode of AEW Dynamite last week. The episode, titled “Brodie Lee celebration of life” was met with unanimous approval by sports fans everywhere.
And now, fans are lauding AEW again for their segment with -1 and Stunt. What makes the moment even special is the fact that Brodie Lee Jr wrote the promo himself.
This was revealed by Tony Khan himself, who said:
“Brodie wrote that promo himself. I asked him what he wanted to say about Marko, and he said all of that off the top of his head, it was incredible, I told him to please please go out and do that. -1 is really something.”
AEW has even signed the young wrestler to a professional contract with the promotion. And this segment was the icing on the cake for wrestling fans everywhere.
