Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo makes special appearance at AEW Dynamite

Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo made a surprise appearance at AEW pro wrestling event at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.

The fans went wild as the Bucks superstar made his entrance towards the wrestling ring. As Giannis walked, people were chanting “MVP” towards their new champion. Antetokounmpo came out to a big cheer from the crowd and AEW President Tony Khan handed off a replica AEW World Championship to him. He entered the ring and held up the title for a bit, then got up on the second rope and the cheers kept going on inside the arena.

Giannis ended the Bucks’ 50-year title drought when he helped beat the Phoenix Suns in six games. He was named the Finals MVP averaging 35.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.8 blocks.

The two-time NBA season MVP has always been a wrestling fan and has spoken about his childhood love for the sport.

Milwaukee Bucks have let go of PJ Tucker in the off-season and replaced him with hard-nosed defender Grayson Allen. Other additions include George Hill, Rodney Hood, and Semi Ojeleye. Bobby Portis, who was a stellar player in the Finals has also been re-signed by the franchise.

Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will look to defend their title next season against some of the biggest teams in the 2021-22 season. The rival teams have uprgraded their roster with some big name signings and we could be in for a huge treat.

Is AEW outgunning WWE in 2021?

After the recent signing of CM Punk, AEW has taken the world by storm. With Giannis also making appearances and fans returning, Tony Khan would be the happiest man on the planet now. The company is set to add more names with Daniel Bryan, the former WWE Champion also in the mix.

This year has definitely been the best for the company that was created barely two years ago. With the progress in this time, it is sure that they are giving the WWE a run for their money. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will be wary of this fact and will have his work cut out in the months and years to come.
