Hangman Page opens up after becoming the AEW World Champion
AEW Full Gear delivered one of the best events in recent times at Target Center. The main event was one of the best matches witnessed Hangman Page winning the AEW World Championship against friend-turned-rival Kenny Omega.
Hangman and Kenny were involved in one hell of a match as these two evenly matched contenders went head to head. After some jawing, some broken-off collar, and elbow ties, there were some exchanged chops.
After some intense battle between the two, Omega grabbed the belt and tried to hit Page, but he somehow ducked and hit Deadeye for just a two count. Both hit their finishing attacks, but Page got the victory as he hit two Buckshot Lariats to score the pin and become the new AEW World Champion.
Page and Omega killed it in the ring, and the Dark Order came to the ring and celebrated with Page after the match.
Sean Ross Sapp of fightful.com took to Twitter and posted a picture of Page with the title of AEW President Tony Khan.
Page revealed that this was one of the most significant moments of his life as he defeated the Belt Collector Kenny Omega in what is considered as one of the best matches in recent time in the wrestling world.
