Update on the Jake Atlas injury during AEW Rampage 

AEW star Jake Atlas reportedly “blew out his knee” during the Rampage match against Adam Cole. According to PWInsider, the injury occurred when Atlas tried to execute a springboard from the apron into the ring. After being hit by Cole with a superkick, Atlas hurt his knee coming down and began grabbing at it.

Atlas reportedly had trouble putting weight on his knee but still pulled himself up to get in position for a Panama Sunrise finish. He was helped out of the ring by AEW officials. 

Sean Ross Sapp of fightful.com provided an updated about Atlast on Twitter that he was on crutches.

“Working on updates on Jake Atlas. He was on crutches after the show tonight.”

Even though Atlas was able to get through and finish the contest. It has now been reported that he will undergo MRI due to the injured knee.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez discussed Atlas’s knee injury during the match against Cole. Also, he noted that the AEW star will require an MRI to check the severity of the issue. However, he mentioned one positive thing: Atlas will be okay but remain constant. 

Atlas originally debuted for the company at the AEW Dark tapings on Tuesday, December 28. He competed against Serpentic during that night, picking up the victory in what was a tryout for him and was subsequently signed by the company, and this match against Cole was his main television debut.
