Jim Ross discusses the best wrestlers in his long career

Jim Ross spoke to Dan Le Batard about his career in WWE as a commentator and his switch to Tony Khan’s AEW.

Ross is seen talking about various different wrestlers in a rapid fire segment during the podcast. He recalls Kenny Omega as the most technical wrestler seen after Kurt Angle. Omega is seen in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and Impact Wrestling, a partner of AEW. Ross also praised AEW’s Young Bucks as the most acrobatic wrestlers he has ever seen.

The legendary commentator called Steve Williams as the toughest wrestler. Williams passed away in 2009 after a long battle with throat cancer.

He also spoke about his time in WWE earlier and touched upon things that happened with Virk and WWE.

“Adnan got put on TV, in a very unique product, before he was ready from a product knowledge standpoint. The wrestling fans today, with social media and all the information flow, they have a great sense of what they like and what might be wrong. He’s a solid broadcaster and they rushed to judgment too quick. You have to know the terms, the language, and the culture. That’s where he was short,”

“Vince makes sure that he imposes his will. The simple fact is, they mis-assigned Adnan. He should’ve had more work in other areas and other TV shows, Lord knows they have plenty of them, to get his chops under him.

Will Kenny Omega ever come to WWE ?

Omega has been one of the best wrestlers in the world, wrestling for numerous promotions in his career. He made his name at New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he was part of the famous Bullet Club. In 2019, he moved to AEW and IMPACT in a crossover wrestling deal and became the AEW World Champion.

Omega currently is the holder of three world championships: the AEW World Championship, the AAA Mega Championship, and the Impact World Championship, in his first ever tenure with the promotion.

Omega has won three titles in three promotions simultaneously

The former Bullet Club member next faces Andrade El Idolo to defend his AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania XXIX.

He was under a developmental contract with WWE in 2005. He was part of the Deep South Wrestling.

With an absolutely stunning resume in his career, will we ever get to see Omega partner with Vince McMahon? That will be an interesting coup if WWE pulls it off.
