Joey Janela posts great praise for Henry Cejudo after posing with Triple C

Henry Cejudo is one of the greatest combat athletes of all-time

AEW star Joey Janela might be an incredible wrestler but he was left in awe of Henry Cejudo.

Cejudo is a two-division UFC champion and also won gold in Olympic wrestling. Janela is known for some tough matches, but he had an incredible caption for Cejudo and himself.

Calling Cejudo an “elite” athlete certainly isn’t wrong in any way. The 33-year-old has been excellent since moving into the UFC and has earned the nickname Triple C.

That stands for “Triple champion”, referring to the two division belts and the Olympic medal. Janela, for his part, was involved in a Casino Ladder match and had the chance to face against the AEW Champion at any time, if he won the chip.

However, it was AEW new signing Brian Cage that got the win. The former Impact star came out with Taz by his side and decimated the opposition at Double or Nothing. The PPV was a hit thanks to some incredible matches and AEW Champion Jon Moxley also kept the title from Brodie Lee.

That was an exciting PPV, but Cejudo also has some things on his mind.

Retirement over?

Cejudo shocked the UFC world by announcing his retirement from the promotion after defeating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249.

Triple C was dominant in the latter stages of the clash, and Dana White was taken aback by Cejudo’s sudden decision.

Some sections of the UFC world saw this as a tactic to get a better deal from the promotion. However, Cejudo’s agent, Ali Abdelaziz confirmed that the UFC star wasn’t going to retire and plans were on for another fight.

It is to be seen who is next for one of the best to have stepped foot into the Octagon.
