Miro picked up a win on AEW but Joey Janela was on the receiving end of a slam
Miro got a chance to impress on AEW after moving to the promotion from WWE. The Bulgarian Brute is now an American and seems to be enjoying his time on the promotion.
Miro, formerly known as Rusev, got a huge ovation after being revealed as Kip Sabian’s best man. The former WWE United States Champion teamed up with Sabian on this week’s AEW to take on Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss.
While Kiss and Janela have been great as a tag team in recent weeks, the pair were sent to the cleaners by Miro.
There was an incredible move during the end of the match with Janela on the receiving end of it. The AEW star is one of the brightest talents on the roster and sold the Miro slam to great effect.
Janela also reacted to the hit and made a bit of a joke too:

What to do with Miro?
While Janela and Kiss have formed a great tag team and could battle for the titles in the future, the big question revolves around Miro.
The former WWE star was the latest wrestler to move from Vince McMahon’s brand and pairing him up with Sabian doesn’t really make a lot of sense.
Miro was known to be a singles wrestler and won titles in WWE. That is the route that AEW should follow with him and this Sabian bit could be because a lot of the other stars are already in rivalries.
This also provides Miro to slowly get into the groove of things on AEW, and there is no doubting his ability.
AEW has a talented and packed roster, and they should be able to get the best out of Rusev.
