Former WWE Superstar Johnny Gargano responds to fans for calling out his name during AEW Dynamite on Wednesday
Johnny Gargano was one of the faces of NXT, and his feuds with Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole were hugely accepted by his fans across social media. However, recently on the episode of NXT 2.0, Gargano cleared that he is no longer a part of WWE as he was done for good.
His non-compete clause with WWE has officially ended now, and he is a free agent now. Many AEW fans are aware of it, and they certainly want Gargano to make his way to All Elite Wrestling as recently, on Dynamite, they were seen shouting his name during the episode.
Johnny took to Twitter and reacted to fans chanting his name during the show, and he has promised to make it up for all the fans.
“I heard you and you have no idea how much it means to me that you’re excited to see me back at it. It’s scary to step away because your insecurities say “they’ll forget about you”.. but you haven’t forgotten and I promise that I will make it up to you asap. #JohnnyWrestling“
We will have to wait and see if he decides to go to AEW and what decision he makes for the future.
Johnny is a free agent now, and he has officially bid goodbye to WWE as his contract expired last December after being with NXT for six years. Since then, he has started a Twitch channel to keep up with the fans.
During his first appearance on Twitch, he talked about his immediate wrestling future and has confessed that he is willing to anywhere his fans chant for him.
“The ‘Johnny Wrestling’ chants, they mean the world to me, and if you chant ‘Johnny Wrestling’ somewhere loud enough, you never know what could happen. I could show up anywhere at this point. That’s real, like, I’m free to do whatever I want. So, if someone wants to see me bad enough, those ‘Johnny Wrestling’ chants come in, I’ll hear them. I watch everything. So, you never know.” (h/t Wrestling Inc)
