Former UFC star Junior dos Santos made his AEW debut on the latest episode of AEW Rampage
Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos accompanied by the American Top Team made his in-ring debut on AEW Rampage.
JDS, alongside Men of the Year – Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page, took on the Inner Circle.
Dos Santos marked his arrival with a barrage of strikes on Chris Jericho. The match saw a lot of action, and at one point JDS was put through a table by Jack Hager of Inner Circle.
In the end, with the help of distraction from ATT’s Paige VanZant, Jorge Masvidal (another ATT member) executed his trademark flying knee on Jericho, who ended up getting pinned.
Inner Circle were irate and left fuming after their defeat.
Twitter not convinced with Junior dos Santos’ punches
Junior dos Santos might have ruled the UFC back in his heydays, but his punches in his pro-wrestling debut were nowhere close to convincing – at least that is what the wrestling community felt.
Here are a few Twitter reactions to JDS’s AEW debut:
