Kris Statlander picked up an ACL injury on the latest episode on AEW Dynamite
The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien, Kris Statlander, faces a lot of time outside the wrestling ring after picking up an injury on AEW Dynamite.
Reports had suggested that Statlander had picked up a serious injury, and the AEW star confirmed she tore her ACL.
Statlander also explained how she picked up the injury and claimed she would dive again.
“Since the news is out. I told you I’d dive on Kip again and dammit I did. But in doing so, I ended up with a high grade tear in my ACL.”
The Alien also spoke about going under the knife. However, she added that she would try to feature on television as much as possible:
“Yes I need surgery. Yes I’ll be out of the ring for a while. I’ll do my best to still show up on your TVs as much as I can.”
This would come as a huge blow to Statlander as she had become a regular on AEW.
Statlander was involved in a fun match recently on AEW which highlighted the strength of the women’s division.
Penelope Ford, Nyla Rose and Hikaru Shida are some of the other top stars in the division. Shida recently won the women’s title from the dominant Rose.
However, another top women’s star has been out for a while. Britt Baker did a great job as a heel on AEW, but the Doctor has been restrained in a wheelchair.
That hasn’t stopped her from making appearances as Baker is doing a great job in the wheelchair. It will be interesting to see what happens with Statlander next.
Recovering from an ACL injury is tough and it does affect the performance in the ring. Hopefully, Statlander comes back stronger than ever, and she continues her rise in AEW.
