Former WWE women’s superstar Lana could be headed to AEW soon
On the 2nd of June, 2021, Lana was released from the WWE alongside stars like Braun Strowman and Aleister Black.
The women’s superstar who had been a part of the WWE for more than 8 years, took up the role as a wrestler during the latter part of her career.
Along with her real-life partner Miro, who currently plies his trade in AEW, Lana was involved in many a storyline.
The stars released from WWE, usually have a 90-day non-compete clause, and now that Lana’s 90 days since release has gotten over, her recent Instagram post hints that she might be headed to the WWE’s rivals.
Taking to Instagram, Lana wrote:
“90 days is over. …. You know what that means ????”
Fans believed that Lana was hinting at a move to AEW. They took her quote as a possible tribute to the late Brodie Lee, who was a part of AEW when he died.
Given that her husband Miro also plies his trade in AEW, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if she heads to Tony Khan’s promotion.
Lana might make her AEW debut this Sunday
The Women’s Casino Battle Royale takes place on Sunday at AEW All Out, and will be going ahead with a stacked women’s lineup.
The latest rumor is that Lana might be one of the entrants in the Casino Battle Royale.
Lana’s husband Miro takes on Eddie Kingston the same night as well. With more and more big names joining the AEW, Lana could soon find herself there as well.
