Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts shocked the AEW world by coming on to Dynamite and confronting Cody Rhodes.
The WWE Hall of Famer hit out at Rhodes after his loss to MJF and suggested that the dark side was ready to take over AEW.
Roberts also claimed that he had a wrestler ready to face Rhodes, and that got the AEW world speculating who that is.
One wrestler’s name has been doing the rounds in recent days. Brodie Lee, Luke Harper from his WWE days, is now able to sign for a new promotion after his WWE contract expired in 2019.
The former member of the Wyatt Family is one of the most gifted wrestlers in the business, but never got the right push in WWE.
Lee has been out of action since December 2019, but has continued posting his regular “You know what that means” tweets.
AEW had posted something similar on Tuesday and well, Lee did the same on Thursday, which added more fuel to the fire.
Rhodes has battled some of the top stars in AEW since the opening of the promotion, and it will be interesting to see who his next opponent is.
Roberts and Rhodes were great on the microphone on the latest Dynamite, and Lee posted his regular update on Thursday.
That got a lot of the fans talking and many speculated that Lee is the man to team up with Roberts:
