Matt Hardy aims shot at Sting by claiming AEW debut was “second biggest” in 2020

Sting shocked the wrestling world by making his AEW debut at Winter is Coming

The wrestling world wasn’t ready for what took place at AEW Winter is Coming today.

While many had their eyes on the title clash between Kenny Omega and champion Jon Moxley, a tag team match got everyone talking.

Sting is now on All Elite Wrestling (AEW)

Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin got the win over a couple of Taz’s stars. However, they were being attacked after the match.

Cody’s brother, Dustin, tried to help but that didn’t work out great for him too. There was more help too but it was a shock to the system.

WCW and WWE legend Sting made his appearance on AEW, and this was his first appearance on TNT since the final episode of WCW.

Sting cleared the ring and helped the pair of Cody and Allin out before he left. This had a lot of people talking since The Icon is regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in history.

Sting didn’t say much but a lot of wrestlers shared their thoughts on the same. Another former WWE star, Matt Hardy, has been killing it since joining AEW.

The Woken One also shared his thoughts on Sting joining and claimed The Icon was the second-biggest debut of 2020:

However, this was a bit of a joke since Hardy made his AEW debut earlier in 2020 and he too was happy seeing The Icon on the show.

A game-changing AEW episode

Sting featuring on AEW was bit enough and it will be interesting to see what else is next for him. Sting is a little old to constantly wrestle since he is 61, but age shouldn’t be a factor for him to make such appearances or even become a manager.

There was more to come from this show as Omega defeated Moxley thanks to a screw job and bolted off. Don Callis helped Omega get the win and then claimed he would speak on Impact Wrestling on Tuesday.

Impact and AEW are rivals, to an extent, but this relationship could lead to something incredible over the coming months.
