Matt Hardy has a hilarious take on his street fight on AEW Dynamite

Broken Matt Hardy made his much-awaited in-ring debut on NXT this week, teaming up with AEW tag team champion Kenny Omega in a Street Fight against The Inner Circle’s Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho.

It what was a spectacular and a chaotic main event, as the fight spilled from the ring, to the backstage area and then to the arena concourse. There were ladders, tables, trash cans and an ice-machine involved, while Jake Hager also showed up to help The Inner Circle duo.

But the most insane moment of the bout came when Hardy, as his alter ego “Damascus”, jumped into a golf cart and clipped Jericho, before running down Guevara.

However, the numbers game helped Jericho and Guevara take control of the battle and win the match, as Jericho powerbombed Omega on top of the golf cart, before hitting him with The Judas Effect.

Following a crazy main event, Hardy took to Twitter and posted a hilarious image of Guevara fleeing away from Hardy driving the golf cart.

In the image, Hardy depicted Guevara as himself running away from the golf cart depicted as the year 2020.

2020 has been a difficult year so far, with the coronavirus pandemic wreaking havoc across the globe. And Hardy’s post was a funny take on the current reality of things.

As far as his in-ring debut on AEW is concerned, Broken Matt Hardy made a huge impression with some crazy spots on Wednesday night, aside from the golf-cart moments.

The veteran wrestler and Jericho have been at war for some time now. And it will be interesting to see where this rivalry heads in the coming weeks.
