Former WWE star Matt Hardy believes that WWE prevented Edge from joining AEW
AEW star Matt Hardy is claiming that WWE Hall of Famer Edge was prevented from joining AEW by WWE.
According to Episode 36 of the MCW Cast (H/t Ringside News), Matt Hardy was asked about the Hall of Famer’s choice of choosing WWE over AEW and he also claimed that it was actually WWE who stopped Edge from choosing AEW.
Matt was quoted saying,
“‘That was one of those things too. I think if they [WWE] hadn’t have cleared Edge and let him wrestle, he was going to end up at AEW. So they kind of had to go, ‘Oh. If we don’t want him to go, we got to let him have his way.”
Edge is one of the greats of the game when it comes to wrestling
WWE Hall of Famer Edge is one of the biggest superstars in pro wrestling having won all the major titles in his career.
Even on his return after injury, he won the Royal Rumble and also beat Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam in the singles match-up.
Edge is a money-in-the-bank winner along with 4 times WWE World Heavyweight Champion and has won WWE Tag-team Champions numerous times. He has certainly been one of the legends of the game.
Last night in SmackDown live Seth Rollins challenged Edge to show otherwise Rollins will go all the way to find Edge and get his answer.
Edge has responded to this and will be appearing in Next Week’s Smackdown Live.
