The New Japan Pro-Wrestling stars wreaked havoc on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite as NJPW X AEW “Forbidden Door” draws near.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler (FTR) were set to defend their ROH Tag Team Championships against Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero (Roppongi Vice) on Dynamite. Both teams delivered an edge-of-the-seat thriller that the spectators thoroughly enjoyed.

The match went back and forth as both teams seemed to have the match won at various points. However, there were several kick-outs from finishers to make the match more riveting.

Towards the later stages of the match, Vice delivered Strong Zero on Harwood before Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan from NJPW’s United Empire faction made their way to the ring and started swinging for the fences. They cleared the ring and did not spare anyone.

To make a statement, the duo from NJPW sent both Beretta and Harwood through tables on the outside of the ring. Cobb and Great-O-Khan made their way back to the ring and held the ROH Tag Titles over their heads to make their intentions clear.

Cobb previously made an appearance in AEW in February 2020. He was Chris Jericho’s chosen opponent against Jon Moxley. Cobb lost that match but he managed to impress AEW President Tony Khan. He was reportedly offered some sort of a deal with the company too.
