Nyla Rose was paired with AEW debutant Ariane Andrew for the Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament
Former AEW Women’s Champion Nyla Rose hit out at the promotion over their rules of a new tournament.
AEW introduced the Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament on this week’s Dynamite, but decided to pair stars via a lucky draw.
Women wrestlers would pull out colours and those with the same colours would be teamed up. Nyla Rose was one of the stars that went first and she got paired with Ariane Andrew.
Andrew is best known for her time as Cameron on WWE as part of the Funkadactyles. While Naomi has gone on from strength to strength, Cameron was released by WWE.
However, she is back in wrestling and seems set to feature on AEW regularly. Nevertheless, while she believes she has a great chance of winning the cup with Rose, the former champion wasn’t pleased.
AEW released the rules for the competition and explicitly claimed that teammates assigned cannot be changed.
That was something that Rose didn’t like and she claimed this rule was specially created for her:
I feel like they added that fourth rule specifically for @VickieGuerrero and I ???????????????? #whatevs…..no offense @ArianeAndrew. https://t.co/TDro6ChJb6

All set up for a great tag team?
Rose being paired with anyone else on AEW Women’s roster would have ensured they are one of the favourites for the title.
However, pairing her with a relatively new star should lead to some interesting dynamics. Vickie Guerrero, Rose’s manager, wasn’t looking pleased with this team too and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
AEW could have created a fantastic team that is great to watch thanks to Rose’s physical abilities. Further, Andrews wasn’t the worst wrestler during her time in WWE, and this gives her a chance to shine again.
Of course, AEW could also take the comedic route as Andrews and Rose bicker as a pair. Nevertheless, this is going to be a team to keep an eye out for as Rose looks to gain more gold.
