Ruby Soho reportedly making her move to AEW after being released by WWE
Former WWE star Ruby Soho, known formerly as Ruby Riott is moving to AEW, according to reports.
Soho was shockingly released with the likes of Braun Strowman and Malakai Black, who have already been hugely popular to be signed.
Now, there are reports that suggest that Soho is looking to sign with AEW, just in time for the All Out pay-per-view on September 5.
Soho posted a long message on Instagram after her release from WWE, thanking various people in the company. She said: (h/t Bleeding Cool)
“Well… here it goes. I’ve never been good at this sort of stuff. Yesterday in a matter of minutes, my life changed very drastically. But after some tears, some panic and a full box of Oreos, I was able look back at how lucky I’ve been to accomplish what have. I never thought I’d make it to WWE.”
“I’ve been honored to be apart of a Squad of the most incredible women I’ve ever met, I’ve gotten to see the world, share locker rooms with some of the most talented women I know. “
Soho made her wrestling debut in 2010, working on the indie scene under the name Heidi Lovelace. She signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2016 and moved to the roster next year.
What will Soho bring to AEW?
Soho is one of the hottest free agents in women’s wrestling. With her vast experience, it makes her a joy to work with and for fans to watch her ace her craft. She has been all over the indie scene and has worked her way to the top of the women’s wrestling charts.
As a faction, she is the perfect leader honing the mic skills to make her an established character – heel or face. AEW is brimming with talent and her versatile personality will be exactly what the division needs.
