Satnam Singh is the first-ever NBA-drafted player from India. Samoa Joe faced the ROH TV World Champion Minoru Suzuki in the main event of AEW Dynamite this week. This was for Suzuki’s Title. In a compelling match, Joe picked up the win after delivering a Muscle Buster. This was Joe’s first title since signing for AEW.

Last week, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt told Joe that they will bring a surprise for him. The surprise wasn’t pleasant for The Destroyer. The giant Satnam Singh took out Joe after the match ended. Lethal and Dutt also joined in the beatdown.

The segment wasn’t received too well by the fans as they felt it dampened the otherwise spectacular show. Overall, the show saw CM Punk, Chris Jericho, and many other top superstars in action. Here are a few tweets from the fans regarding their opinion on Singh’s AEW debut:

Satnam debuted for the senior Indian National team at the 2011 FIBA Asia Championship in Wuhan, China where he averaged 2.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.

In 2017, he had a workout at the WWE Performance Center before being signed up by AEW on September 23, 2021.

After receiving massive heat on his first AEW TV appearance, some wrestling fans have come out in support of the youngster. They were willing to give more time to Satnam Singh to hone his skills and showcase his talent in AEW.

Surely we will see a Samoa Joe versus Satnam Singh match down the line. Being in the ring with the veteran Joe will certainly help the big man early on in his wrestling career.
