AEW star Taz wasn’t happy with a comparison between Brian Cage and Brock Lesnar but mentioned one similarity
Brian Cage has been electric since joining AEW under the guidance of Taz. He was close to knocking Jon Moxley off the perch and winning the AEW World Title.
However, things were not to be for the impressively built star. Cage and Taz have worked well together and they also have Ricky Starks by their side.
Cage is built like a monster and a Twitter user took a swipe at the AEW star by calling him the “discount Lesnar”.
Brock Lesnar is one of the greatest WWE stars of all-time while he is a former UFC champion.
Taz is known to hit out at social media users. While the Submission Machine wasn’t happy with the comparison, he did confirm the one similarity between the pair, their size and athleticism:
“Sarcastic insults is so twitter. Only parallels between Brock & Cage is size w/athleticism, there is much more to both of those men as individual performers that but your eye isn’t trained to see. All I will say about FTW Title, u might end up eating those words.”

A formidable figure
Taz is one of the best to have ever featured in the ring and his technical expertise is probably second to none.
The former WWE star does make a valid point where Lesnar and Cage are similar in size. However, Cage seems to be a more complete performer and his arsenal of moves is greater than Lesnar’s.
Both are still beasts and can dominate the opposition easily. Lesnar has been in the wrestling business for close to two decades and is still one of the best in the ring.
Lesnar recently saw his contract run out at WWE and speculation has been rife of where he could be heading.
MMA promotions have been linked with a move for Lesnar but it is unlikely he will go to AEW. That promotion already has a beast in Cage, and it will be interesting to see how he develops under Taz in the coming months.
