Thea Trinidad reacts after former client Andrade debuts on AEW

Thea Trinidad ( formerly Zelina Vega in WWE ) reacted to the debut of her former client Andrade El Idolo on AEW last night.

Trinidad tweeted a show of solidarity and seemed happy with the move of former NXT Champion’s to his new wrestling home.

Trinidad shared three heart emojis resembling the colours in the Mexican flag, along with a fistbump. Andrade began his career in Mexico with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. He wrestled as a masked character called La Sombra. He then wrestled in New Japan Pro Wrestling from 2010 to 2015. The Mexican, then joined WWE in the developmental brand NXT, where he won the Championship.

WWE released her in November 2020. In the latest list of released superstar, Aleister Black was one of the main surprises. Thea Trinidad and Alesiter Black are married in real life. WWE fired Trinidad for launching an OnlyFans account, against their rules.

Further, Black will be looking to rejoin the wrestling circuit, by joining AEW or New Japan Pro Wrestling. The two promotions seems a likely destination, after years in Europe and the USA.

Trinidad officially joined WWE in 2017. She had an impressive run as a Knockout at IMPACT wrestling, which got Vince McMahon’s attention. She primarily appeared on NXT and formed an alliance with Andrade.

Together, they got drafted to WWE Raw, where Andrade won the United States Championship. Vega managed Andrade well with her impressive mic skills and promos. Vega then went into singles wrestling in 2020.

Zelina Vega reached hegihts as a singles competitor. She fought Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship, but was unable to win.

Andrade and Vega were one of the most interesting pairs with a bubbling chemistry in WWE. Sadly, the move didn’t work out but could happen in the future.
