AEW President wrote a heartfelt message for Jim Ross undergoing cancer treatment
Legendary commentator Jim Ross is undergoing skin cancer treatment which was revealed earlier this month. Ross took to Twitter and mentioned his treatment plan, where he will be undergoing 22 radiations starting from Monday.
Ross mentioned his return date, which will be on December 29 and said that Tony Khan’s support is a blessing.
“Due to my skin cancer care totaling 22 radiation treatments starting Monday, I will hopefully return to the announce desk on December 29 in Jacksonville. @TonyKhan supports me on this strategy which has been a blessing. My thanks for all your support.”
AEW President Tony Khan replied to JR on Twitter and sent him gratitude and praised Ross for his gameplay. Khan said he will hope for JR’s return when AEW goes to his hometown in Jacksonville, FL, at New year’s smash.
“JR, everyone here at @AEW wishes you the best. I think it’s a great gameplan you’ve got, we look forward to your return to commentary, hopefully in your new hometown Jacksonville FL @dailysplace at New Year’s Smash at the end of December! We want you to kick the cancer’s ass, JR!”
Jim has been one of the most famous personalities in the wrestling world, with his voice being echoed in some of the most iconic matches. He is one of the most recognised voices of WWE.
The 69-year old recently revealed that he is undergoing skin cancer treatment on Twitter. He mentioned waiting on a radiologist for the best treatment determination, which may include radiation as well.
Ross has been associated with AEW for a few years now, and he was also an inductee into WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2007.
