Tony Khan has claimed Rampage ratings will beat SmackDown
AEW president Tony Khan has claimed that Rampage will beat SmackDown in next week’s ratings. This comes after WWE announced on this week’s SmackDown that the next week’s episode will be supersized. Meaning that they will run the SmackDown longer than usual.
This did not sit well with Khan who believes it is an attempt to overshadow AEW’s Rampage. Khan took to Twitter where he openly challenged SmackDown and said:
“I saw you’re doing a half hour head-to-head with us. I can’t wait to finally beat your main show head-to-head. It’s been a long time coming. See you next Friday for #AEWRampage on @AEWonTNT!”
WWE have also stacked up a major card for next week’s SmackDown. The card includes Brock Lesnar’s return, Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks and also the semi finals of Queen’s Crown and King of the Ring. While the wrestlers compete inside the rings Khan has certainly called out for a fight in show ratings.
Khan certainly seemed excited and also confident that his show is going to perform better than WWE’s Raw.
How did the fans react to the claim by Tony Khan?
The fans were certainly not impressed by the comments made by Khan. They voiced their opinions on Twitter blasting Khan. Take a look at some of the responses:
The fans certainly did not enjoy what Khan had to say and came at Khan with all cylinders firing. Whose rating will come out on top next week? Only time will tell.
