AEW CEO Tony Khan wished Brodie Lee’s son on his birthday
Sadly Brodie Lee passed away on December 26, 2020, but the CEO of All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan, made sure his son Brodie Lee Jr. wasn’t left behind. He gave his son an AEW contract and made sure that he became part of the roster when he grows old.
On the eve of Brodie Lee Jr’s birthday, Khan took to Twitter and wrote a heartfelt message for the young kid. He also mentioned that the kid is one of the most challenging people in pro wrestling, and is proud of him.
Khan’s Tweet read.
“Happy Birthday to my friend #BrodieLeeJr, one of the toughest people in all of pro wrestling. He trains hard and he’s a student of the sport. I’m very proud of him for the man he’s becoming, + for being so good to his mom @MandaLHuber and his brother Nolan. Happy Birthday Brodie!”
It is worth noting that Lee passed away due to a non-COVID related lung issue. The wrestling fraternity was flabbergasted following his death.
Brodie Lee Jr will undoubtedly carry his father’s legacy and is one of the brightest prospects of AEW.
Tony Khan had signed Brodie Lee Jr to a contract and plan to put him on the company’s roster when he is of age, AEW play-by-play commentator Tony Schiavone announced on his What Happened When podcast (h/t Wrestling News)
“Knowing that Brodie was very sick and knowing it was holiday time, and I guess knowing that for him to kick out, it was going to be, I don’t want to say a miracle, but it was going to be very difficult to kick out. They had brought little Brodie to TV, and wrestling is his life. He is 8 years old. He really is a great kid. They made him a member of The Dark Order.
“They put a mask on him. He came out with a kendo stick. He beat up a lot of people. This of course, was at a TV taping with nobody in the audience. They signed him to a contract. They legitimately signed him to a contract, and when he gets of age, he will be with AEW. They have taken care of him, and he follows guys around all the time in the back, and he becomes a part of us.”
Hope Lee Jr. grows up to be a phenomenon.
