Tony Nese reveals about his first rival for the in-ring AEW debut
Tuesday’s AEW Dark episode on Youtube will see former WWE star Tony Nese making his in-ring debut against Fuego Del Sol.
Tony Schiavone interviewed Nese on this week’s AEW Dark episode (h/t Wrestling Inc.), where he talked about AEW being the hottest pro-wrestling company. He even mentioned him as a Premier Athlete. Nese said that it is a perfect place for him, and half of the AEW roster doesn’t even belong here with him.
“Well, I heard that AEW is the hottest professional wrestling company right now,”
“So, what perfect place for The Premier Athlete, the hottest free agent in professional wrestling, what a perfect place for me to sign to? But there’s just one thing that I can’t get out of my head, and that’s this stacked AEW roster, and half of them don’t even belong in the same ring as The Premier Athlete.
Nese mentioned that in the interview that he was not wasting any time on AEW Dark and stated the name of Fuego Del Sol. He challenged Sol that he doesn’t belong to the same ring as The Premier Athlete.
“So I’m not even gonna waste any time, next week on AEW Dark, I’m going to start picking off names, one by one, starting with Fuego Del Sol. Del Sol, I’m going to prove to you and everybody else out there that you don’t belong in the same ring as The Premier Athlete.”
Nese was signed with WWE in 2016 and was released earlier this year due to budget cuts. He was the former Cruiserweight Champion. He first appeared in the crowd of AEW’s Dynamite.
