Matt Hardy suffered another nasty head injury at AEW All Out but continued to finish his match
AEW was called out again after Matt Hardy suffered a serious-looking head injury at All Out.
Hardy and Sammy Guevara were clashing in a match with no rules, and AEW continued its tradition of having risky bumps.
One such event saw Hardy and Guevara perched high above on a platform. They were to fall down onto a table but the landing didn’t go as planned.
Hardy’s head smacked on the concrete floor below and the referee seemed to call off the match. The video looks gruesome but there was more to come.
However, Hardy made his comeback and was able to finish the match. The Woken One got the win over Guevara but many questions were asked of his return.
Ryan Satin posted updates from Tony Khan as he claimed that AEW had taken many measures to ensure Hardy was fine before returning:
Khan added that this bump was something that no one enjoyed.
However, this isn’t the first time Hardy has been injured in such a manner. A few weeks back, Guevara tossed a chair straight at Hardy’s head and that led to a huge gash on his head.
This was a mistake as Guevara was to use one of the folding chairs on Hardy. However, those weren’t present and this led to more calls for AEW to be safer with their talents.
AEW has often used a lot of crazy spots in the past with thumbtacks also being used. This leads to more gruesome injuries and matches but this is high risk with little reward.
Hardy was able to continue and it is a miracle that further damage wasn’t done. He is one of the toughest men out there but many fans weren’t pleased with all that was done.
