Shaquille O’Neal was in a great match on AEW and paid tribute to Brodie Lee too
AEW Dynamite seems to be hitting all the right spots with some big name signings over the past few weeks.
Paul Wight (FKA The Big Show) joined the team in a shock move and a lot if expected from the former WWE star.
Another big name that made his in-ring debut for AEW was basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. The former LA Lakers and Miami Heat star has won several NBA titles in his career and he was in a tag match to kick off the show.
O’Neal teamed up with Jade Cargill, who also looked impressive, as they took on Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet.
It was quite a brilliant performance from Shaq as he even went through a table and many were impressed.
However, there was a great moment from Shaq before this madness took place.

Shaq certainly had the size advantage on Cody and planted him with a brilliant powerbomb earlier in the match.
However, the setup to this featured a tribute to the late Brodie Lee (AKA Jon Huber). Lee passed away a few months back and that came as a huge shock to the wrestling world.
Many stars paid tribute to Lee and continue to do so, especially those who spent a lot of time with him in WWE.
Shaq also did the same with his powerbomb and it was great seeing him perform such an act.
AEW held a special tribute show for Lee and also confirmed that his son, Lee Jr would be handed a contract once he is ready to wrestle.
Lee Jr has featured on several AEW shows after that and it is great to see so much care being provided for the wrestler’s family.
Shaq on AEW has been a hit for sure and it will be interesting to see what is next for him. The basketball great took a risk going through a table, and even Cody hoped that his rival was fine after the match.
