Jake Hager added another win to his MMA record after facing Brandon Calton at Bellator 250
Inner Circle member Jake Hager had been missing for a while from AEW, and for good reason.
The former WWE star has dabbled in MMA in the past and was set for action at Bellator 250. It made sense that he didn’t feature on Dynamite as he was getting into shape and cutting weight for the clash.
Bellator is one of the top MMA promotions in the world and Hager had fought thrice in the promotion previously.
The 38-year-old fights in the Heavyweight division and took on Brandon Calton at Bellator 250. After a gruelling fight, it was Hager who got the split decision win and the American was extremely pleased.
This was Hager’s fourth MMA fight of his career and the AEW star is undefeated so far. He has an MMA record of three wins and one no contest, and all of them have come on Bellator.

Keeping an early unbeaten run isn’t new in MMA, however, some credit has to be given to Hager who has balanced a professional wrestling career and an MMA career.
Wrestling world celebrates Hager’s win
Hager might not have been seen too many times on AEW, but that didn’t stop his promotion from celebrating the win.
Many of the Inner Circle members tweeted out their support for Hager with Chris Jericho joking that his teammate’s modelling career is all but done:
Holy smokes @realjakehager just won a WAR at @bellatormma 250

Hager certainly took a pounding in the clash but this was an epic performance. It will be interesting to see if he makes a return to AEW soon as he needs some time to recuperate.
