Sting made a shock debut on AEW at Winter is Coming and that was the talking point on Wednesday
AEW Dynamite pulled out a couple of huge aces on Wednesday as they put on quite a show at Winter is Coming.
While Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega rocked the main event for the AEW World title. Omega won the title with some help and ran off to celebrate. There was more to come with Omega and Don Callis claiming that they would speak up on Tuesday.
Dynamite is broadcast on Wednesday but Callis cleared up any doubts by saying that Omega would feature on Impact Wrestling.
AEW and Impact are rivals, of sorts, but the pair teaming up together is a seismic shift in the world of wrestling.
The pair could take on WWE thanks to its roster and cross-promotion fights. However, there was another huge event that got everyone talking.
Sting made an appearance on AEW and they confirmed he had signed a multi-year deal. He helped Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin but didn’t speak much on the show.
This caught a lot of people off guard but it is a spectacular move from AEW and some of them were asking one question on social media.
How old is former WWE star Sting?
Sting might be a wrestling legend but at 61, it would be incredible if we saw him wrestle week in and week out.
Sting has appeared on most of the top promotions across the world, and it will be interesting to see what he brings to AEW.
The Icon, as Sting is called, is still a huge draw in the world of wrestling. He is a WWE Hall of Famer and is one reason why professional wrestling has become this big.
Many wrestling fans were shocked at seeing Sting make his AEW appearance and here are some of their reactions from social media.
Is it weird I almost started crying with how much joy this brought me? He was my first ever favorite wrestler. I accidentally turned on TNT and saw him jump the nWo and I was hooked ever since. I love #AEWDynamite #AEWonTNT so much! 😄😭😄🤩
