The Young Bucks of AEW are one of the most successful tag teams in the history of professional wrestling
The Young Bucks comprised of brothers Matthew Massie and Nick Massie have been a part of the AEW since its inception.
They are also the promotion’s Executive Vice Presidents.
Almost 17 months after making their AEW debut, Young Bucks won their first AEW tag team championship.
It was on the 7th of November, 2020 at AEW Full Gear they defeated FTR – a wrestling tag team consisting of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.
Since then they have put up several successful title defenses, and are already the best tag team in the history of the promotion.
At AEW All Out on the 5th of September, Young Bucks will be locked inside the cage and will be taking on the Lucha Brothers.
However, Young Bucks are undeterred by their opponents. Taking to Twitter they promised that their 300+ day reign would not be ending anytime soon:
Their Tweet read:
“For 300+ days we’ve been your AEW World Tag Team Champions. It’s been the greatest run in tag team history & isn’t ending anytime soon. They’re gonna have to bury us with these belts on. #AEWAllOut.”
Young Bucks’ Matt appeared as a jobber in the WWE, back in February 2008. Several months later he appeared in a similar role against Big Show.
They also portrayed Triple H and Shawn Michaels in an ECW segment. Moments later they were taken out by John Morrison and the Miz.
The legendary tag team never made it big in the WWE.
