This article discusses about the Age of Empires Mobile game and its pre-registration news.
The mobile version of Age of Empires will be playable in 2024, with an open beta to get things started prior to release. To get in-game incentives, you can pre-register for it on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Additional incentives, such in-game resources like Empire coins, heroes, and an hour-long acceleration of construction, training, and research are unlocked with more pre-registrations.
The free-to-play game is being developed by the Activision-owned World’s Edge studio and Tencent-owned TiMi Studio Group, which collaborated on Call of Duty Mobile. Global pre-registration for Age of Empires Mobile is now open for iOS and Android users. Though the iOS page states that it should arrive on August 19, there is currently no information regarding the release date. It is anticipated to happen later in 2024.
Microsoft has attempted to release a mobile version of the game before. One of Microsoft’s initial attempts at creating a mobile game was an Age of Empires game, which was released in June 2013. If you really want to date the news, KLabGames was granted a license to use the IP and create a free-to-play version for iOS and Android. Age of Empires: World Domination resulted from this, and it was launched in December 2015 but shut down in November 2016 – not quite lasting a year.
Unlike its PC predecessors, Age of Empires mobile will impose artificially extended build and research times for its in-game structures. Microtransactions are unavoidable in a mobile game, and it is hoped that Age of Empires avoids trivializing the legendary Clash of Clans series.
The announcement states that Age of Empires Mobile will feature controls tailored specifically for mobile devices, while maintaining many of the gameplay elements that fans have grown accustomed to, such as fast-paced combat, real-time strategy, base-building, and online PvP multiplayer.
Players will have the opportunity to form teams with a variety of well-known figures from the Age of Empires franchise and history, including Julius Caesar, King Arthur, Hannibal, Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, and more. The creators guarantee that players will be able to engage in online combat with a large number of other users.
The game, which includes four ancient civilizations—the French, Romans, Chinese, and Byzantines—promises to provide an immersive experience. In the epic battles that have been the series’ trademark, players will get to command famous characters like Barbarossa and the Queen of Sheba. The developers are dedicated to giving players a deep, strategic gameplay experience that satisfies their expectations for strategic depth and gorgeous graphics.
Microsoft also unveiled a follow-up video that delves a little more into the game’s creation. A large number of Timi’s game creators identify as ardent followers of the Age of Empires series. Large-scale conflicts involving hundreds of online players on a single screen are one feature of the mobile edition.
Additionally, there will be support for one-on-one PvP combat and a focus on pre-battle elements that are typically absent from PC or Xbox AoE games. Gamers who prefer to play the game alone can establish their own kingdom and explore dungeons by themselves. This game should be successful, as previous mobile Age of Empires games have not.
