Arsenal vs Burnley Predictions: Arsenal FC Line-up

Arsenal travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley on Sunday hoping to end the Premier League season on a winning note.

The Gunners missed out on a place in the top four, but have given themselves a chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season. The north London giants produced a stunning performance against Valencia in their Europa League semi-final clash to book a place in the final against Chelsea.

Burnley, meanwhile, have managed to beat the drop and will look to get all three points against Arsenal at home.

Team News

Emery has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game.

Probable Arsenal XI

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Manager: Unai Emery

Bernd Leno (GK)

Leno has been Arsenal’s first choice in goal under Emery and he’ll start on Sunday.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles (RWB)

The 21-year-old missed out the 1-1 draw with Brighton due to suspension, but his return to the line-up will be crucial for the Gunners in the difficult game.

Shkodran Mustafi (RCB)

Mustafi came on a substitute in the 4-2 victory over Valencia on Thursday. However, he is likely to replace the ageing Koscielny in defence on Sunday.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos (CB)

The Greek international has undoubtedly been Arsenal’s best defender this season. He will be raring to help his team keep a clean sheet at Turf Moor.

Nacho Monreal (LCB)

Monreal was a part of the three-man backline against Valencia and he is a certainty to start again on Sunday.

Sead Kolasinac (LWB)

Kolasinac hobbled off the pitch in the second half against Valencia, but there’s nothing serious and he’ll be fit to start at Burnley.

Lucas Torreira (CM)

The Uruguayan’s energy and power in midfield will help the Gunners see a lot of the ball. He should start on Sunday.

Granit Xhaka (CM)

Xhaka had a solid game in midfield at the Mestalla Stadium and should keep his place in the team on Sunday.

Mesut Ozil (RM)

Ozil has done well in the last few games, influencing the proceedings with his incisive passing and vision. He is a likely starter against the Clarets.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (LM)

Mkhitaryan’s form has faded since the last month or so. He will be raring to find his mojo ahead of the Europa League final.
