Predicted 4-4-2 Bournemouth XI to face Norwich City in the Carabao Cup

Bournemouth continued their winning run in the Premier League with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Fulham this weekend and Eddie Howe’s men will be the strong favourites when they face Championship outfit Norwich City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

Callum Wilson’s injury-time winner against Blackburn Rovers propelled the Cherries to the last 16 of the Carabao while Norwich overcame the challenge of Wycombe in the third round.

Norwich have been in good form in the Championship this season and the Canaries are pressing for a promotion to the top flight.

Team News

Bournemouth will be without the services of Joshua King who is sidelined with an ankle injury. Apart from that Eddie Howe will have the entire squad of players at his disposal but he will be expected to rotate his players given that Bournemouth have an important fixture coming up in the Premier League against Manchester United.

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Eddie Howe

Predicted XI

Artur Boruc (GK)

The 38-year-old veteran did a decent job between the sticks in the previous round of the Carabao Cup and might get a start against Norwich ahead of Asmir Begovic.

Adam Smith (RB)

He has been solid at the back for the Cherries this season in the Premier League and played a part in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Nathan Ake (CB)

Howe should start with the in-form Dutchman in the heart of the defence to keep the Norwich attackers at bay.

Jack Simpson (CB)

He is a promising young centre-back blessed with a lot of strength and aerial prowess. He played an important part in the third round and Howe should hand him a start ahead of Steven Cook.
