Aleksei Oleinik was born on the 25th of June in 1977 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The Ukrainian-born Russian has fought across four decades, after having made his debut in 1996.
With 75 career fights in his kitty, Oleinik is also the proud exponent of the Ezekiel Choke – a submission move named after Brazilian judoka Ezequiel Paraguassu. He is the only fighter in UFC history to have won a fight via. an Ezekiel Choke.
Oleinik is currently ranked number 15 in the heavyweight rankings, and despite being almost 44 years old, he has shown no signs of stopping.
‘The Boa Constrictor’, as he is known, can put to sleep any opponent with ease, due to his hands of steel.

His first 10 fights were at Ukraine based promotions. He then switched to MMA promotions in Russia from the year 2004. After three years at Russian based MMA promotions, Oleinik landed in Poland.
And finally, in 2008, Oleinik moved to the United States. He had an impressive record of 27 wins and just 3 losses, by the time he reached USA.
He once again switched to various promotions in Russian and Poland, before landing in the Bellator in 2010. However, he once again got back to promotions in Ukraine and Russia.
After 4 years, he joined the UFC, and has been a part of it since 2014. Oleinik made his debut against Anthony Hamilton in June 2014. He has won five Performance of The Night bonuses since making his debut.
Inability to stitch more than 3 wins in a row, has cost him dearly in his ambitions of a title shot.
