Embark on a quest to find every hidden Frox in Tears of the Kingdom, uncovering their secret locations and unlocking valuable rewards.
The Frox is a new monster in the Legend of Zelda series that has made its debut in the open-world game. But instead of making an appearance on the surface world of the Tears of the Kingdom, Link will encounter this monster in the gloomy underground world. The place is covered in gloom and this gigantic tusked frog-like monster is huge in size and may look scary but they sure are easy to take down. However, to take them down you will have to go prepared and know the attacks that they will be using on you.
The Frox shares similarities with the Battle Talus and Stone Talus when it comes to their movesets. If you know your way around them and are used to their playstyle it will be easy for you to take down Frox in the Tears of the Kingdom. The biggest advantage of fighting this Monster is that it has less health which means that you will have to put up a less intense fight with them than you put with other bosses in the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
However, the biggest challenge is finding the Frox in the Tears of the Kingdom. Given that they are located in the underground world of the game it makes it even more difficult to hunt them down.
There is not one but several Frox in the depths of Hyrule in Legend of Zelda’s Tears of the Kingdom. The easiest way to find them is by heading to the north of the great abandoned mine that is directly below the Hyrule region’s Sky View Tower. The nearest travel points are Nihacayam Lightroot ( head south) or the Nogukoyk Lightroot ( Head north). You will find them easily given their large size.
Before you go on to pursue this battle make sure you are prepared. You will need arrows and a hammer as your basic weapons and if you want to take down this monster faster we also suggest bringing some bomb flowers. However, bringing bomb flowers is not necessary while you go to fight this battle.
The fast and easiest way is to go defensive against the Frox in Tears of the Kingdom. Frox is quite aggressive in nature and uses its main attacks which are the body slam and the Kirby. You can prevent the body Slam by simply running out of your way to avoid it.
If you are in a position in which the Frox has grasped you, what you can do is just sprint away to get away with it. However, it won’t be easy for you to just sprint away so we suggest that you instead turn to face it and shoot a bomb arrow inside its mouth. Upon doing so you will hear a blog and you will see that the bomb explodes in the belly of this gigantic monster.
The second way to attack it is the same as Hinox. Basically, this means that if you find Its big yellow eye shoot it with the weapon you have. This will result in the Frox flopping to the floor.
You can use the hammer that you will get from the Zoanite mining. You have to hit all the rocks behind him that are engraved on its back till it Breaks. This is the quickest way to give massive damage to the monster. You will have enough time in your hands to extract 1 or 2 chunks of stone with a decent hammer before Frox gets angry and throws you onto the ground. You have a short period of time before you go to scratch to start stunning him again.
It is not necessary to break all of the rocks behind him but if you hit it in the eye several times it would help you break all the stones with just two stuns. That is everything you have to do to take down the Frox in the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Due to the unique nature of the battle, the Boss’s dropped items are scattered more widely than usual, but they can still be collected.
The main item that it drops is the Zoanite which is a very important element in the Tears of the Kingdom. You will need this component quite often to refine it into crystallized charges. You can use this to trade for an extra energy cell to power up your Zonai devices.
That’s not it! If you are lucky you can even get a piece of large Zoanite or the Frox can even drop a large Cyrstalized charge.
In addition to that, you also get Frox Fang, Frox fingernails, and Frox guts. The fingernail adds +10 fuse attacks while the Fang adds +14 attack power. You can use both of these ingredients in the recipe for Elixirs. As for the guts it gives you +1 power.
