 Pikamee is a popular and well-known Vtuber among netizens. There have been no videos, content, or even a tweet from her for the past three weeks. Ever since Hogwarts Legacy launched, all is not well for the Vtuber and she planned to stream Hogwarts Legacy based content and videos, but could not continue due to a viral controversy that stopped her from doing the same. Amano Pikamee is also an integral part of the VOMS Project team and she’s announced her retirement from the VOMS team. And the same news has also been shared on the Twitter handle of VOMS Project who’s officially confirmed that Amano Pikamee will be graduating from their team.

Last month she was about to stream Hogwarts Legacy video content and also expressed her wish to play the game. But many netizens were against her wish as they deemed that Amano Pikamee is endorsing J.K. Rowling’s political views and thoughts. This made her upset and she went offline for a couple of weeks owing to stress and trauma as the netizens accused and some even abused her verbally. Amano Pikamee also deleted her tweets and stream regarding Hogwarts Legacy. And after three weeks, the Vtuber is parting ways with VOMS Project. Is Amano Pikamee Retiring after Hogwarts Legacy Controversy?

Ever since Hogwarts Legacy arrived, the Vtuber is going through a bad phase. Amano Pikamee is graduating from the team VOMS Project and the Vtuber is eventually retiring from the team after several controversies over the last few weeks. Amano Pikamee was excited to play Hogwarts Legacy and create content based on the same. But many people and netizens hurled abuses and the comment section looked scary as soon as she posted about the same. After seeing all the abusive comments and hatred, Pikamee decided to delete those posts and she was offline for several weeks. 

There were no videos or any posts on her account. Finally, on March 1, 2023, an official statement came from the team of VOMS stating that the young Vtuber has decided to leave their team and they have mutually agreed on the same. Some even commented that Pikamee is transphobic as soon as she expressed her wish to livestream Hogwarts Legacy. All these have made her leave the team and she’s officially graduated from VOMS Project.

She also further stated that she only wanted to play Hogwarts Legacy as a   fan and didn’t have any intention of supporting J.K Rowling’s political interests. Yet, everything was misinterpreted, and coaxed Amano Pikamee to retire from the VOMS team finally.

Even other popular Vtubers and Streamers have faced similar situations years ago and some even decided to stream after receiving so much hate. Pikamee and her association with VOMS Project will be terminated after March 31st, 2023, and all her videos on the channel will also be deleted later after that.

Will Amano Pikamee Stream Continue to Stream Videos?

There are doubts over Pikamee’s future as a Vtuber. As of now, it seems that the Virtual YouTuber is only retiring from the VOMS Project and she will also continue to stream videos till March end on the same channel. And Amano Pikamee has not officially retired yet, the sensational Vtuber will continue to stream videos for other channels and her own channels on other content. Fans poured in their wishes and support to the star and this will rejuvenate her once again to continue steaming more content and videos.
