Rublev announced himself to the world when he won juniors’ singles of the 2014 French Open. He defeated Spain’s Jaume Munar in the final to lift the trophy. His first title came in 2017 – when he won the Umag Open. In the final, he overcame Paolo Lorenzi’s challenge in straight sets to win his first ATP singles title. In 2019, on his 22nd birthday, Rublev won his second ATP title at the Kremlin Cup. He defeated France’s Adrian Mannarino in straight sets in the final.
He currently has 16 career titles to his name but is yet to win a Grand Slam.
