Estonia’s tennis sensation Anett Kontaveit is one of the rising stars in tennis. The last couple of years have been pretty good for her with her boyfriend. In 2024, Anett Kontaveit and her boyfriend Brent Lepistu were blessed with a boy. The couple shared the news on Instagram.

The Estonian turned pro in the year 2010. As of October 2021, she has won five WTA titles, with some notable wins over top-quality players. She is also the first Estonian player to break into the Top-10 of the WTA rankings. Anett Kontaveit retired from tennis in 2023 because of lumbar disc degeneration diagnosis.

As of now, Kontaveit is in a relationship with Brent Lepistu and the couple have a son as well. The tennis sensation regularly posts pictures and stories of her partner and baby. Brent Lepistu is a soccer player and the couple met in 2022. They fell in love, but are yet to get married. Kontaveit and Brent Lepistu enjoy their time with their son, and they went to Spain for the holidays.

Kontaveit has won five singles titles on the WTA Tour as well as eleven singles and five doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Anett was born in Tallinn, Estonia, in 1995. Her mother introduced her to tennis when she was six years old, and she coached her until she was eleven years old.

Later on, she travelled to Istanbul to improve her tennis skills and resumed her training with an Australian instructor, Paul McNamee. She competed on the junior tour in 2011 where she played pretty decently.

During the junior tour, her best Grand Slam performance of the year came at Roland Garros. There, she made the quarterfinals with wins over world No. 6, Danka Kovinic, and future Wimbledon junior champion, Ashleigh Barty.

She even reached her career-high ratings of World No. 9 in junior tennis. She also won the European Junior Doubles Championship for Under 16s.
